Re: DNS in Deep Freeze

On the way our computers are set up on our network, they go away... the
files I worked on for a whole fifteen minutes <g> are long gone.

It's not at all obvious where the files go, or how to save them to a place
different than their default. One of us will try to find the time to
cruise the directories & figure something out * I was just hoping somebody
else had already been there and done that.

And here it is, March, and we're still here!@! And maybe... there might
be some "gotta spend" funding for that version 8 * but I'm peculiar; I
don't want to buy something just to use the funds. I want to figure out
how to orchestrate all the pieces parts to make learning happen. I was
thinking also of a way to integrate our current "CIS 145" 1-credit-our
self-paced course in using DNS with an English or Reading course so that
magical, mysterious "transfer" and "follow-through" would be more likely
to manifest itself... if only I could find an organizing gene :-)

Is it possible for the student's files to be on a network drive, not the
C drive of the computer. If so, the files are saved to that drive and
not affected by deep freeze. Deep freeze only affects the computers
hard drive.
