[Moderator's note. Sara--good luck on finishing! You may have missed the
note in which I said that SOMETHING in the way of a discussion list will
continue going forward, and I'm sure the list would be happy to hear about
your progress and your results! Watch for an announcement in the next
couple of weeks. Bob]
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to say this has been a wonderful and informative listserv
and I am so sorry to see it have to come to an end. I had mentioned a
couple of times over the last few months that I am working on a
dissertation that focuses on using voice recognition for college level
writing tasks. I have worked with three students at different levels on
different kinds of assignments, and I am in the process of compiling and
analyzing the data now. I hope to publish some articles out of this study
over the summer after the dissertation is finished. A couple of things
have prevented me from moving as fast on this as I had hoped, and I regret
that I will not be able to post some of the research on the listserv.
Still, I will be happy to correspond with whoever is interested over email
and let them know when I have something published. This listserv has been
a great help to me in understanding issues related to the technology
itself as well as how it is being implemented in educ!
ational settings. You are all doing such important work.
cheers everyone,
Sara Pace
