Bridgette

KeyStone ScreenSpeaker is a screen-reader, i.e. text-to-speech technology
speaks out text which is present in menus, dialog boxes, text fields and
documents. It also allows homophones (soundalikes) to be checked for with
examples of words used in context. It also incorporates a phonetic
spell-checker which assists with correcting spellings in DNS dialog boxes.

SpeechMaster incorporates ScreenSpeaker and DNS, with a Vocabulary Manager
for DNS and a Stories Organiser to assist those with reading difficulties.

There is also our KeyStone Roamer software which provides roaming profiles
when you are using DNS Standard or Preferred, giving the roaming
functionality of DNS Professional at a fraction of the cost, on networked
systems.

Thank you for your interest.

Peter

What is the difference between Keystone ScreenSpeaker and SpeechMaster? I
suppose I could go to the site and figure it out but it's always easier
and
quicker just to ask :-)

Thanks,
Bridgette

KeyStone SpeechMaster's Stories Organiser provides a foolproof method by
which you can turn any text file into DNS-compatible scripts which are
simple added to those normally available with the product. You can have
your
text automatically broken up into words, phrases or sentences and/or place
your own break point indicators in your text.

Details are available on our commercial web site www.keyspell.com.

[Moderator's note. Hi, Becky. Time was, back in the old days, that you
could
just go to Joel Gould's site--he was one of the original DD and DNS
engineers--for such tricks. I'm sure it's in our archives also. I will
forward you a copy of the old instructions from Joel's site. HOwever, the
training files were just text files with the '.bin' extension added in
naming. I assume that's still the case. Maybe others have a handier online
source for this info. Bob]

Hi,

I read the responses posted 2/3/05 from Bill Wade and Ed Rosenthal to the
question posed by Eileen C. Haddon regarding the data bin files (located
in
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\ScanSoft\NaturallySpeaking8\Data\Training\Enx)

Wow! I didn't even know these were here.

Eileen said she'd "also like the ability to put in my own text for
training.." So would I! I didn't know this was possible. How do you do
this?

1. What software do you use to create/save the file?
2. I assume it must be saved with a .bin extension?
3. What protocol does the base name of the file need to follow? I see data
bin files numbered data0.bin through data19.bin and then data 33.bin
through
data40.bin 4. Where does Dragon get the name that will appear in the list
of
training texts?

Thanks
Becky
