Bayle,

>>The Ag folks have a saying
that summarizes my opinion: "You don't fatten lambs by weighing them."

Questions: Who are the Ag people? What does the above phrase mean? =
and What does it have to do with DNS? I don't get it.

Learning to use voice activated equipment is not easy - no one ever =
said it or implied it. But the first time I saw it work was about 10 =
years ago. A gentleman with CP. made it work perfectly for him. His =
speech was quite involved and I had trouble understanding him but the =
computer did not. This was a DOS platform as Windows did not have a =
voice program yet. (did Windows exist then?) It was DragonDictate. I =
knew then this would change the world for many kids and it does. We had =
a young man graduate from high school and the police academy using voice =
activation. He has a computer in his squad car and writes his reports =
and such by voice. Anyone who wants to work this should be giving every =
opportunity. Getting kids through state tests is not the purpose of =
education. =20

But why the debate? Lets figure out how to make it work best. See DNS =
6 work with WYNN (a scan/read and write software program). It does look =
like star treck. What a good thing that is.

Sincerely,
Peggy B
