Subject: Kurzweil/DD pilot
I am very frustrated and am hoping someone can point me in the right
direction. I am from a mid-size school board in Ontario. We are just
introducing assistive technology to our students with special needs. My
position was created last year and at that point I started a pilot in 3
secondary schools. 2 students in each school (dx LD) were given laptops/
scanners/ kurzweil/ Dragon Dictate.
Since that point, we have been riddled with technical difficulties. It
began with the kurzweil demo (although removed and registry cleaned)
effecting
the licensed Kurzweil. A year later (and three crashes on two computers)
and I just received a call from IT. They have no more install keys for
these 2 computers - because of the crashes!!!
The company I purchased the software from sent me to L&H who I am not
hearing back from. Can anyone on this list tell me if and how I can get
more install keys. It is the same machines and same software!! It is not
for a different machine
or different student.
I am to the point where I am ready to pull the plug on this 'pilot' and go
with Wynn and WordQ. If the technology doesn't work - it is useless to the
kids.
Thanks for listening,\
