Marty,
Nice to hear from you again. The IBM problem you describe below sounds more
like a condition I encounter daily as I get older!

Subject: Problems
I have been conducting trainings around Wisconsin using voice recognition.
All have been extremely successful - we have a focus of using VR for
students with mild disabilities. Recently I had a trying experience. I
was using Dragon Naturally SPeaking for Teens - on a lab of laptops. All
laptops exceeded system requirements for the software. We had a variety of
brands of laptops including Gateways, Toshiba and IBM THinkPads. The
Toshibas and Gateways worked well all day - however, the IBM's just got
slower and slower as the day proceeded. The training of individual voice
files worked well - but when we were actually using DNS for teens - the IBM
machines became so slow that a dictated message took up to 4 minutes to
appear. We finally gave up on the IBM's- Any ideas?
