Dear listserv members (and lurkers):
We want your stories!!!
Do you have / work with / know of a student who is successfully using speech
recognition in school for some or all of his / her work? If so, please take a
few minutes over the next few weeks and tell the listserv about the situation.
We'd love to hear about what software you're using, what worked and what didn't
(we're not Pollyannas), where the computer is located, and so forth.
We think it is important that we occasionally focus on the larger picture and
successes we are having than on the kinds of troubleshooting questions we often
get. We know from our own experience that implementation of speech
recognition is often problematic and fraught with difficulties, but we also
know about some very important successes, some of which we've reported to the
listserv.
We'd love to hear your stories as well.
Thanks,
Bob Follansbee
