I normally lurk here, but I wanted to publically say "Thank you" to all the
posters who unknowingly convinced me to take a chance on Dragon Dictate. I
had to order it mail order, since it appears to be unavailable at the retail
level, and I ordered it with hesitation.
I should not have worried. My 9 year old LD son has great difficulty putting
words on paper (keyboarding is a little better, but not much.) We did a
quick enrollment, and started using it. He dictated, I corrected errors.
After a couple of cummulative hours, he is starting to use the system on his
own, and he is thrilled. For the first time, he can put on paper all the
things he can so easily voice verbally. For a child who is frustrated at
every turn, this is a wonderful thing.
