I work with adults with DD, and am currently helping one person in
particular to figure out what speech technology would enable her to use a
newlt-acquired computer (she's quite bright, but barely semi-literate)
I am guessing that this will not be the last ime I do this.
I am also interested in technology which could teach a fairly verbal person
such as this one to read--and I think a combination of voice and visual
might be the ticket.
I would be very inteested in a speech recognition conference, though I might
not be able to get to Boston. I would hope that as much as possible of any
such conference would be held on line, and the rest stored at a website for
later access.
Thanks much. Leslie Sirag
