I am interested in the educational applications of voice technology especially
in the area of students who have problems with written language production due
to learning disabilities.
I am just at the exploratory stage and have not personally used voice
technology. I've been very interested to read the various differences of opinion
on its benefits. I greatly appreciate the opportunity to take part in this list
as a way of hearing what those who are actively working with this technology are
experiencing.
I am actively involved in a support group for children and adults with ADD and
in that broader context am hopeful to see ways that voice recognition technology
can help. Many of these individuals have wonderful ideas but genuinely struggle
to get them on paper, yet they can verbally express themselves with ease.
So, with your permission, mostly a lurker,
