We're delighted to have you join us. I'm sure your input and experiences will
prove invaluable as we try to collect information about kid's use of SR.

I certainly agree that DDW is probably the most appropriate avenue for kids
with language processing and production issues, and if you use it in
conjunction with a talking word processor in the speak sentence by sentence
mode, you should have a great oral-visual-aural feedback loop for them.

I really wanted to address your own concerns. I think, from my own brief
usage, from other comments here, and from the responses of others, that if you
consider yourself relatively fluent in terms of your oral language production,
you might want to consider D NatSpeak for your own use, with JAWS or whatever
screen reader you want to use. Most of the blind/visually-impaired users at
CSUN were gaga over continuous speech, and the screen reading issues are
certainly no different than those for DDW.

We'll hear what others have to say....
