I am certainly no expert on articulation, but if one believes that there are
therapeutic techniques which can diminish dysarthria and improve the oral
motor functioning of people with CP, then it would seem that use of discrete
speech (as opposed to continuous speech) exactly fits the needs for
encouraging consistency in articulation and giving immediate, meaningful
feedback for success (or failure) of the endeavor.

It's an interesting, and testable, idea, but I don't think I'd ever try it
without an expert in oral motor functioning along for consultation and to
provide strategies to the patient.
