Hi everyone,
This is my first message to this e-mail list.
It isn't just kids who learn from their peers. Several of us in the Boston,
MA, USA area who use or have used DragonDictate and/or other speech
recognition systems, started a speech recognition users group last August.
We meet at MIT. Anyone is welcome to attend who uses or is interested in
the practical use of speech recognition programs.
Example of tentative schedule for meetings for a few months:
Feb: Kathy Cahill of the MIT ATIC lab: Getting started with speech recognition
March: Eric Johansson on computer programming using speech recognition
April: demonstration of new L. & H. (previously Kurzweil) continuous speech
program
May: planning meeting
June: tentatively planned: Workplace issues in using speech recogniton
We meet the 2nd Tuesday of the month at MIT at 7:30pm. Building 1-242.
The group uses an automated listserv called "smartlist" to announce
