Having trained many people on vairous computing technologies, I learned the
very same lesson that you experienced. In fact, I often ASK a seasoned
user if they can help out with newbies, for lack of a better term.
In almost every case, these seasoned users can do things that I could never
do. Peer to peer can really work. The greatest feeling in the world is to
watch these things happen.
This doesn't mean that a professional isn't needed. When one kid sees
another kid using technology, it seems to say, hey, if he can do it, I can
too.
