Actually my last test had 1 error in 867 words. I am not good at math
but someone else told me what the percentage was. Remember - the test I
do every once in a while is to READ outloud from the newspaper for 5
minutes. At the end of the 5 minutes I stop reading, cut/paste the
whole thing into WordPerfect and allow WP's document statistics feature
to count and give me a total word count, which I then divide by 5
(minutes) to get the wpm count, and subtract any recognition errors. I
do not dictate as fast as I can read outloud and, when I dictate, there
are more errors. The speed is slower because I have to stop every once
in a while to collect my thoughts and there are more errors, I think,
because I tend to stutter more when dictating than when reading. The
system is doing quite well, I'm very pleased, but did not want to leave
you with the wrong impression.
