Dear Patricia,
Thanks to you and several other members, I now know the
difference between discrete speech and continuous speech. My daughter
(an eighth grader who is thirteen) is
using continuous speech. She is still training, but tells me that the
system is picking up her speech very well. She should be finished
training this week. I'll let you know how she does.
For your information, she has a written communication disorder
and is officially classified as LD in written communication. She reads
fairly well and is far more conversant with the computer and Naturally
Speaking than I am.
