We are in the process of streamlining the process of managing our
newsletter mailing list. We publish a quarterly newsletter which we
physically mail out to our stakeholders. Currently we use a few databases
since we send out our mailing list to people in several different
categories (i.e. teachers, funders, mentors, etc.) and have found that our
lists are getting very cumbersome to manage.
How do other organizations manage their mailing lists? Are you able to use
one database to store everyone or do you have to pull several databases
together? How do you keep from sending duplicates to the same people?
Any advice, thoughts, best practices would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
~Carolyn
