Dear Youthlearn members:

Established in 1963, A Better Chance is the preeminent resource for
identifying, recruiting, and developing leaders among young people of
color throughout the United States. Through the A Better Chance Scholars
Program, A Better Chance has placed over 10,000 middle and junior high
school students in some of the nation's finest college preparatory
schools, both public and private.

We are about to start our spring recruitment drive and I am looking for
new resources. I am responsible for recruiting in the Mid-Atlantic states
(PA, NJ, DE, MD, DC, VA, WV) and I am interested in finding programs that
work with students in any of those regions, especially in the cities of
Philadelphia, Baltimore, Wilmington, Washington DC and the major cities in
Virginia. If any knows of or works with a program that would be a good
recruitment source for talented students of color in grades 5-10 and
especially those who will be considering high school options for next
year, please advise.

Cheers-
Keith Wilkerson
Assistant Director for Field Operations &
Program Coordinator for the Mid-Atlantic Region
