Greetings everyone,
I am currently looking for innovative methods of teaching research to
adolescent youth. I currently operate a Community Technology Center that
serves our afterschool program and adults & senior citizens in the
community. A major component of our afterschool program includes homework
tutoring and there is a deficit in the youth's ability to conduct research
for papers and what have you. I am asking for some ideas about what to
include for a research workshop and if anyone has done this sort of thing
before. I've actually been asked by my ED to create a class on research
but don't think it's feasible to have an entire class dedicated to
research. Do any of you all have an innovative approach to teaching how to
research? I would also like to say thanks for Wendy's posting about all of
those wonderful opportunities out there. Thank you!
