We do a clayanimation class using FrameThief software.
What you'll need is a miniDV or webcam with a firewire connection to a Mac.
And then Framethief software from framethief.com, cost is around $40.00 for
a registered version.
We use plasticene clay from any local art store and thinly gauged aluminum
wire, also from an art store or hardware store--but, make sure it's
aluminum not steel.
The wire is twisted into skeletal shapes and the clay put on. Instant
character. Animate by taking one picture at a time.
Best,
allan
