National professional development and technology integration conference
coming to Atlanta
On May 1-2, 2003, educators and students will be attending and presenting
at the Co-necting to Kids and Kids Who Know and Do conference at the Hyatt
Regency in Atlanta.
The Co-necting to Kids conference offers much for the technology
coordinator:
* over 100 dynamic sessions on best practice and research in
innovative teaching and learning strategies, including the following
sessions: Construct Your Own Sims, Robots, and Multimedia Projects in One
Environment; Barbie to Bio-Med: Elements of Gender Equity in the Use of
Tech in the Classroom; The Technology Thinking Classroom; Young Children
and Technology: Projects Lead the Way; Why Is This So Difficult? Removing
Institutional Barriers to Technology Integration; and Seeing Reason:
Web-Based Visual Mapping of Cause and Effect.
* powerful keynote speakers, such as Alan November, who will discuss
how to create school environments that maximize the effectiveness of
technology for learning.
* pre-conference computer labs and workshops that elucidate digital
storytelling, handheld computers in the classroom, Web-based multimedia
resources, and MS Office to enhance classroom instruction.
* and a network of educators interested in technology integration as
well as a framework that supports it.
Co-necting to Kids, featuring Kids Who Know and Do will take place May
1-2, 2003 at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta, Georgia. Pre-conference
computer lab sessions and workshops will be held April 30, 2003. For more
