The theme of the Week 3 is: What is the role of civil society,
particularly
youth organizations, in using ICT in education for enhancing the
employability for youth in the
information society?

The discussion for the Week 3 runs from December 4 to 10. We are inviting
you to send your comments on this theme to explore the current scenarios
being practiced by the civil society organizations, particularly youth
organizations in using ICT in education that has implications in the
employability of youth in the information society. The employability in the
information society requires on the part of the individual besides quite
high level of literacy and numeracy, the information skill. The information
skill is understood as the capability of perception the importance of
information in the life and the ability to integrate it into almost all
process of life.

We are looking for instances where ICT are being implemented in educational
practices. Youth organizations are requested to send information on their
initiatives being taken in this regard. Youth organizations include
governmental youth departments, focal points of intergovernmental youth
organizations, international, national and local youth NGOs, and youth
research institutions etc.

You may facing bottlenecks while implementing the projects at various
levels
? both policy and project materialisation stages. The forum seeks to know
your problems that are hindering reaching your organization's project
goals.
Also send your views about the future roles the organizations shall be
taking up and the collective responsibilities of civil society in bringing
effective result in enhancing youth employment through ICT.
