Barriers for employment is the major problem in Pakistan. It is fact that
increasing population brings several problems. If we ponder deeply we find
some are natural and some own created. Out of them increasing unemployment
is also more than 50% self-engineered process in Pakistan. Let a glimpse as
testimony of previous statement. As a philosopher noted that politicians
are those who pledges to make bridges over barren land.
We do not go in past, in late eighties decade PPP came in power which was
considered sole representative of poor masses but it impeded her pasts'
pompous and glorious status particularly in recruitment policies. It
introduced the culture of favoritism (JEALACRACY), services were given with
out caring merit, and if there was merit, it was party affiliation. Who
chanted slogans, broke jails, bore lashes, died hosting party flags,
violated national roles and law for the cause of party was suitable person
foe lucrative and executive post. If any body had bored 100 lashes was
awarded with First Class Magistrate post, if any had passed 3-6 month Jail
was appointed as a teacher.
It was mockery with justice that state has chastised any one, latter he
became the head of any department. Same practices followed by successor
Govt. Since 1992, Govt. has imposed ban on jobs. It is also a major
resistance.
For job recruitment, advertisement is given instead of local newspapers in
selected newspapers, which have not readers in remote area. Beside this
interviews for the federal post of BPS-1 or above is conducted in Federal
Capital, how an unemployed person bear the traveling , lodging and boarding
expenses.
Lingual difference is an other barrier for employment in our country,
Panjabi prefers Punjabi and avoid to recruit Sindhi Pathan or Blaoch who
are already in low proportion. Sindh is a province of Pakistan and feeds
every one Pakistani from either province with out any difference. Even
refugees are breathing here. Due to flexible position of law, every one can
get National Identity card, fake domicile and permanent resident
certificate of sindh and thereby besom eligible to get Govt. Thus Sindh
can not get real proportion of Job in federal or provincial Govt.
Since the very first day of inception of Pakistan has never practiced real
democracy. That is why democratic approaches and attitude has never been
flourished in Govt. departments and politicians too. All these are
barriers on the way of employment in Pakistan. It should be cured.

So, in Benin,there are many types of discrimination and i can fortunatly
say that we are bridging the gulf.
UNFPA has initiated a big project of a center of youth and in that we've
TV,Radio and cyber centre.You can visit the site and even
listen to the radio at www.adomedia.info but the TV will start in January.
That is to say that, we've received training on gender reproductive health
and right of adolescents in Benin. This will permit us to act in our radio
to sensitise young people who are listening to us to banish discrimination
issue as the case in many countries.
