10 FULL TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIPS
The YES Office in Boston is very pleased to announce full travel
scholarships for 10 young applicants to attend the YES Regional Forum in
Hyderabad, India, 14-18 December, 2003. The scholarships cover the
following expenses only;
* return air ticket
* overland travel connections inside India if necessary
* 5 nights accommodation in Hyderabad
* three meals per day during the event program
*local transport, including airport transfers and hotel/venue transfers
N.B. internal flight availability may require overland connections inside
India. Residents of India are not eligible.
The travel scholarship does not cover the event registration fee, visa
application fees, travel inside the country of origin, or other expenses
incurred outside the arranged program. Women and minorities are encouraged
to apply. Applicants are welcome from all residents of the 21 Asian
countries participating in the Regional Forum (residents of India and
non-participating countries are not eligible).

After registering, send an Application Essay to Mr. Fred Clark in the YES
Boston office. The Essay (of not more than 1,500 words) will present your
views on the following questions in this format:
1. What is the dominant youth employment challenge in your country?
2. What are some of your ideas to generate youth employment?
3. How are you involved in youth development activities?
Winners will be announced October 31, 2003. If you have already registered
online do not register again, but do submit an Application Essay. Duplicate
registrations online will not be considered. While the scholarships are
intended for younger people all age groups are encouraged to apply.

300 ROOM and BOARD SCHOLARSHIPS
In addition, a further 300 partial scholarships are available to non-India
residents covering food, accommodation, and local transport. This offer has
no bearing on the event registration fee, which must be paid in full.
