ENYA Pilot Programme
Would you like a top-notch enterprise mentor?
The Enterprise Network for Young Australians promotes the active
participation of young people in enterprise.
Put short, we support and promote young business and social entrepreneurs.
From July - September 2003 we're running a free Mentoring Pilot Programme
[in Australia] that will match you up with a business mentor.
You'll speak to them once or twice a month, and can use them to help you
with business planning and guidance. You do not need to complete a Business
Plan or other document, however there are a few short exercises your mentor
may ask you to undertake, like setting goals and doing some research. If
you're a social entrepreneur, you can use your mentor for guidance on your
social enterprise or project. It's a program for young people who are
time-poor, and it will fit in easily with your lifestyle.
To be eligible for one of the few remaining places, you need to be:
* 18 to 30 years old
* In the first 6-18 mths of your business/social enterprise, however small
or part time
* If you have a business - Your business name must be registered, but you
do not need to be trading (you could be in a planning phase)
* If you have a social enterprise - You must be committed to your social
enterprise or project and have a track record of community contribution
This pilot will be evaluated upon completion, and expanded nationally (and
for 15-18 year olds) if all goes to plan! In addition, some participants
can also participate in the Virtual Business Incubator Pilot, providing
they have a home-based business. This gives them free access to an advice
line (freecall), free local meeting space in their area, and free financial
planning.
