Linking of the 'best practices' to a series of participatory, community-based intervention strategies

The CSA project strives to meet its objectives through a number of interrelated interventions. All interventions are designed to involve and respond to community members. Interventions include:

  • Participatory baseline data collection (described above)
  • Participatory Rural Appraisal/Participatory Learning and Action
  • Community School Improvement Plans
  • Information, Education and Communication campaign (via drama, public forum, tv, radio and print)
  • Institutional Capacity Building for School Management Committees and Parent-Teacher Associations
  • Community Microgrant Projects
  • Facilitator Support and Monitoring
